COTTON SATEEN SHEETS
We offer sateen sheets in two different threadcounts. For our sateen bedding 300 TC, we use long-staple fibers of the top cotton variety American Pima from the USA, which is obtained from the cotton plant Gossypium Barbadense, which provides the world’s best qualities.
For our sateen bedding 600 TC we use extra-long staple cotton fibers. There is no higher category than extra long staple cotton fibers. The production of such fine fibers accounts for only about 2% of world tree wool production.
Good to know
It is important to use long or extra long and fine fibers, because the softness and durability increases with the length and fineness of the fibers.
What are sateen sheets?
Compared to other fabrics, a sateen is discreetly shiny and therefore looks elegant. Due to a sateen binding, it is supple, soft and has a flowing fall compared to the percale. The appearance of a sateen is textureless, even and smooth. Italians use sateen sheets all year round.
